Yang’s family business was handed over to the present Chairman, Mr. Tse Siu Bong, who established Nin Jiom Medicine Mfy. (H.K.) Ltd. in 1946.

Yang Xiaolian was a provincial commander and his mother suffered from bronchial ailments and a serious cough and for a long time. A famous physician, Dr. Ye Tianshi then gave Yang a prescription for ‘Pei Pa Koa’ – a blend of natural herbs with honey. Yang’s mother finally recovered. Years later, she asked his son to mass produce Dr. Ye’s prescription so more people can benefit from this herbal remedy. In remembrance of his mother, Yang Xiaolian named it ‘Nin Jiom Pei Pa Koa’.
‘King To’ (which means “the capital”) was added to the official brand name when Yang’s descendants set up a factory in Beijing. This was how ‘King To Nin Jiom’ was founded with a “mother and son” as its trademark.
