Tune In To TV3 For A Merrier Christmas!



What better way to celebrate Christmas than to have your loved ones around to add joy to the occasion! This holiday, as a special treat to all its viewers, TV3 presents FIVE entertaining movies that are loaded with drama, action, romance and comedy - all made for great family viewings. 

Season’s greetings will kick off on Christmas eve with “Shanghai Noon”, a heartwarming action-buddy blockbuster starring Jackie Chan and Owen Wilson that will leave you in stitches laughing from start to finish. Next, we have “Barbie In A Christmas Carol” back-to-back with “Princess Diaries 2: The Royal Engagement”, featuring talented movie idols such as Kelly Sheridan, Anne Hathaway and Julie Andrews.

After a double jolly treat for our young viewers, TV3’s Christmas joy continues with another entertaining feature, “Merry X’mas Mr. Bean”, a definite boost of cheer to your holiday that will take you down memory lane. Last but not least, don’t forget to catch another Hollywood holiday blockbuster, “The Santa Clause 2”, starring Elizabeth Mitchell, David Krumholtz and funnyman Tim Allen returning as Kris Kringle’s replacement after getting a crash course in the fine art of personifying Christmas, in this sequel to the 1994 hit The Santa Clause.

CHRISTMAS SPECIALS!
“Shanghai Noon”

A 19th century Western. Chon Wang is a clumsy Imperial Guard to the Emperor of China. When Princess Pei Pei is kidnapped from the Forbidden City, Wang feels personally responsible and insists on joining the guards sent to rescue the Princess, who has been whisked away to the United States. In Nevada and hot on the trail of the kidnappers, Wang is separated from the group and soon finds himself an unlikely partner with Roy O’Bannon, a small time robber with delusions of grandeur. Together, the two forge onto one misadventure after another.

Cast: Jackie Chan, Owen Wilson, Lucy Liu, Roger Yuan.

“Barbie In A Christmas Carol”

This adaptation of Charles Dickens’ classic A Christmas Carol features Barbie in the role of Eden Starling, singer extraordinaire for a grand theater in Victorian London. When Eden decides to force her fellow performers to work on Christmas day, three spirits arrive to take her on a magical journey in hopes of re-instilling Eden with the proper holiday spirit.

Cast: Kelly Sheridan, Morwenna Banks, Melissa Lyons, Prudence Edwards, Leanne Araya, Kandyse McClure, Shauntia Fleming, Kathleen Barr.

“Princess Diaries 2: The Royal Engagement”

In ‘The Princess Diaries 2′, Mia Thermopolis is now a college graduate and on her way to Genovia to take up her duties as princess. Her best friend Lilly also joins her for the summer. Mia continues her ‘princess lessons’- riding horses side-saddle, archery, and other royal. But her complicated life is turned upside down once again when she not only learns that she is to take the crown as queen earlier than expected, but that she is also to be married before this event.

Cast: Anne Hathaway, Julie Andrews, Hector Elizondo, John Rhys-Davies.

“Merry X’mas Mr. Bean”

While Christmas shopping, Mr. Bean purchases a bulky string of tree lights before making a shambles of a department store toy section. He later manages to acquire a free turkey and Christmas tree, and attempts to conduct a Salvation Army band. Finally, during Christmas dinner, Bean has quite a surprise in store for his long-suffering girlfriend.

Cast: Rowan Atkinson, Matilda Ziegler.

“The Santa Clause 2”

Scott Calvin has been Santa Claus for the past eight years, and his loyal elves consider him the best Santa ever. But Santa’s got problems (he’s even mysteriously losing weight) and things quickly go south when he finds out that his son, Charlie, has landed on this year’s “naughty” list. Desperate to help his son, Scott heads back home, leaving a substitute Claus to watch over things at the Pole. But when the substitute institutes some strange redefinitions of naughty and nice, putting Christmas at risk, it’s up to Scott to return with a new bag of magic to try to save Christmas.

      I think princess diaries 2 is better then the first movie.
